What are the risks in ballbusting?

Well, you could lose your nuts. Or become sterile. Or need to take hormones for the rest of your life. Or you could die.

You don't let people kick you in the head do you? Why would you let them kick your nuts?

Keep in mind there is a reason why getting hit in the nuts hurts, your body is telling you something bad is happening to it and wants you to stop whatever it is that is causing the pain.

Damage to your balls is not strictly predicatable. For instance, a number of guys on this forum have been kicked by others wearing steel toed boots so theoretically have been exposed to a huge force that could destroy their nuts yet suffer little damage, if they do this often enough sooner or later they will kiss a testicle goodbye. You could do this on the first attempt and lose one or even two or be lucky and walk away with only a few brusies.

You have a set of tubules which form each testis, these have a huge blood supply and as well as producing your sperm also produce your testosterone. (be warned losing ability to make sperm produces infertility, losing your testosterone unless you medically supplement is losing you manliness.)

These testis are enclosed in a connective tissue layer called the Tunica Albuginea (TA) and in turn the overall sac has another connective tissue layer called Tunica Vaginalis (TV).

Connective tissue is protective to a certain extent and in addition there is small amount of fluid between the two that allows the TA to slide rather than be fixed. In addition your testis hang somewhat loosely via the spermatic cord. The net result is your testis can rock, roll and move when kicked or hit thus dissipating some of the force to protect themselves.

Calculations on cadavers suggest that the TA will rupture when around 50 kg of force is applied directly to an immobilised testicle. Once you have a rupture the tubules of the testis can push out and hemorrhage occur. The rupture may be small and capable of healing itself or it may be large and require emergency surgery or you may in fact lose your testicle. Other damge can also occur. You can get a testicualr torsion where the testicle spins on itself and the blood supply is cut off or damage to the epidymis. A hard enough kick to the pubic area can also lead to an herniation where some of your intestine pushes down into your scrotum, not exactly the fun you were looking for!

Whether you walk away with just pain and some light bruising or minus a nut depends on all sorts of factors such as the angle of the blow, whether your nuts could move enough and displace the force, whether or not they are being crushed, how strong your connective tissues is and how hard the hit was.

Whatever you do dont restrict movement of your nuts nor allow a blow that pushes then straight up agaisnt your pubic bone area, they cannot move to dissipate forces under these conditions and will easily be damaged. Many ruptures occur from a knee where testicles are driven straight up agaisnt the pubis.

Who knows you might be lucky and get through a lifetime of heavy kicks with no real damage; but like gambling, sooner or later luck will not be on your side... or as many men have found from being assaulted you might be unlucky and lose a nut on the very first kick.

If you are concerned about damage then start slow and easy. It really doesn't take a hard it to cause pain and get you turned on.

Think hard about what you are doing, you can get a great thrill and sufficient pain through somebody just finger flicking your nuts and you wont lose one that way!
